1942RP - Gamemode Updates

Gamemode Updates!


  • Redesigned F4 Inventory Menu, adding more information for the user and additional messages
  • Redesigned Shopkeeper UI; adding more information for the user and additional messages.
    • Added more context to the pricing and such; showcasing current market prices and other variables at play
  • Fixed Mismatch Inventory Slots between F4 Inventory and Shopkeeper UI
  • Visual Overhaul of Factory Owner's Machine
  • Updated Vodka and Beer Voice Lines
    • Removed the one obscene line.
  • Fixed U-Boat Spawn and Removal Event
  • Fixed Math calculations to match serverside math. (Inventory System)
  • Added Atmos (again lol)

1942RP - Gamemode Updates

Gamemode Updates!


  • Updated and fixed intermittent F4 Menu issues
    • The jobs tab no longer requires reinitialization for both the preview panel and job model to be shown properly.
      • Previously would clip out of the panel; hardcoded values were set to hopefully fix this issue
    • Pressing the old F2 Faction Key to update the new Organization tab is no longer required.
    • Updated Organization Tab UI
    • Added a new Reich Tab for Government Official players to use, essentially replacing the Organization Tab
      • This tab is still a work in progress and will eventually be a substitute for commands inside the "Commands" tab for Reich Officials.
  • Added ARC9 Weapon Base to substitute the removal of CW:ATOW
    • All signs of CW 2.0 Base weapons should be removed but if there is one found, let me know.
  • Fixed an issue where atlaschat would error if the ESCAPE key was used to exit the menu.
  • Updated all VIP Perks and Limits (Paycheck, Props, Inventory) to be what we represent on the storage page
  • Synchronized all gamemode modules across three gamemodes
    • Since we run multiple servers across 3 gamemodes (2 1942RP and 1 DarkRP) for some reason they had out of sync modules so some servers would not have updated Fuhrer Questions for example.
  • Updated Maximum amount of Laws from 12 to 15
  • Updated Base Laws
  • Adjusted Rock Pricing
    • Ruby from 85-100 to 70-98
    • Gold from 100-200 to 50-85
    • Diamond 200-250 to 150-200
    • Amount spawned has not changed.
  • Removed FAS2 Guns (Serverside thing but should mean less bloat on server)

  • Updated F4 Menu
    • Reskinned all items using “DarkRP” skin (Factions UI, Reich Market, etc)
  • Added 3D2D Text screens to the Content Pack
  • Fixed edge case when Animation SWEPs are used by not real entities (spamming console with errors)
  • Fixed Bank Robbery not starting when player is in an Organization.

Server Updates - Gamemode, Infrastrcture and Content

1942RP Updates


  • Updated Organizations addon to no longer store information locally, but exist on the same database alongside other player information.
    • Alongside an entire rewrite of the functions that depended on retrieving information from files locally...
  • Fixed Server Loading Screen to now properly display custom CSS.
    • Garry's Mod Awesominum Framework did not enjoy us using Tailwind as our CSS Library which broke 99% of all CSS Content
    • Redesigning with just vanilla CSS seems to fix and actually showcase the CSS properly across both Chromium Branch and Non-Beta branches

Infrastructure Updates


  • (little late) Redesign of SAM (web) to be redesigned with componentization in mind when designing the website.
    • Now designed in Tailwind instead of Bootstrap
    • Cleaned up the general aeshtetic of the website
    • Allow for more consistent themeing across the entire web application
  • Home Page now loads considerably faster
    • Changed all images to .webp format (Originally 4mb .PNGs/JPGs to ~300kb .webp)
    • Added lazy loading to all images as the page and stored css would load considerably faster then the images stored locally
  • Game servers now exist in Docker containers using LinuxGSM
    • Previously using seDIRECTOR on Windows Server made development not as appealing and easy.
  • 95% of Web Infrastructure has moved off of our previous paid host (NFOservers)
    • Some services are still dependent on the old host that I have not migrated over yet.

Content Updates


  • Reduced Content Pack size from 17GB to little over 12GB
    • Still having issues how to improve first-time users connecting to the server for the first time.
    • Content Pack is split into Factions, Weapons and Miscellaneous/Extras
      • Government Models and Materials still need refining because they lack the custom materials that are used to make the models work.
        • Solution might cost the content pack size to balloon up a bit more.

  • Fixed a bug where checking for player's playergroup would fail and cause users to be spammed with errors in their console
    • Missing operator in the player group check
  • Unowned structures like the west Reich Gates have been fixed alongside beach garage door
  • Fixed a mismatch between Bronze Printers and their reported print amount.

  • Updated Map
    • Added Chancellery Building
    • Added Garage to Beach Mansion
    • Fixed Clipping Issues with Skybox
  • Player's will now download the map via FastDL/ROG Website, in the event maps cannot be downloading via WorkshopDL (Steam Workshop)
  • There is already a rp_kielce4_rog_2401e in the works that will fix an issue where doors internally were named the same thing, where we could not manually set door owner.
  • *Known Bugs:
    • Reichstag West Gate is Unowned 
    • POG North Entrance is Unowned 
    • Beach Mansion Garage Door is Unowned
    • Triggers at First Spawn (Remove/Push) are broken.

Please let me know if anything else is not working. Map update does enter the serious territory, but its the goal to attract newer players to this gamemode style.

  • Updated our Content Pack Structure so its easier for people to download and rejoin.
    • Moving back to a one collection system, originally intended for LeyworkshopDL but that has now been deprecated
    • Content has been reuploaded, stripping unused or unusable content in accordance to Facepunch Guidelines
    • Consolidated Collection Pack from 100+ addons to <35 addons

Server Updates - 1942RP

1942RP Updates


  • Implemented Modern Car Dealer
    • Players now spawn with "Car Keys" that can be used to Lock and Unlock their Car Door
      • Must be near and looking at it to unlock/lock them
    • Players who spawn the car are the only owners of it and they are the only car owners of it
    • Only 1 car can be spawned per player.
    • Does not support Faction Integration so other faction members cannot unlock/lock, but anyone can drive it.
    • At the moment it is buggy as the color option are not changable
      • Workaround is using the tool gun colour option if you are VIP since that is inherently the same thing but just a temporary fix.

 

Side note: Map update will take some time, as the skybox update has been completed but still needing to expand the roads is still an option.
